MORE INFORMATION

The Alpe marathon starts and ends in Kamnik. As far as the (railroad) level crossing paricipants will have to cycle in a slow line. Timing is on immediately after the start of the marathon. All participants must cross the checkpoint first, and having done so, no further limitations or restrictions are placed on racers until they reach the finish line back in Kamnik.

During the race the participants , who are no more than 60 minutes behind the leading racer, are protected from traffic due to mobile roadblocks. Any participants who may be slower are signalled an audio warning by the organisers' vehicle carrying the sign »KONEC MARATONA« (end of marathon) and accompanied by a police car . This means that they are on the open road and must abide by the traffic rules. Although the mobile security service is available there is always the possibility of a careless and negligent driver to pose a threat to racers. Participants race at their own risk and the organisers, or their assistants, cannot be held responsible for any injuries or damage to participants or their property, or to 3rd person parties. The organiser assumes no responsibility for any injuries or damage caused by the participants to themselves, to others, or to third persons. By starting the race the participants agree with the organiser's rules listed on the registration forms, the club's website and in the media. The safety of the marathon  is supported by the organiser's vehicles, medical assisstance and the marshalling staff.

Marathon Alpe wants to increase cyclists' awareness of importance of protecting environment, therefore all participants are expected to get rid of plastic containers and any other waste at refreshment stands or at the places that racers will be informed about in due time.
